Get ready to start your journey at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College!
This orientation and registration event is designed for
first-time freshmen planning to enroll in Spring 2027 classes.
During orientation, you'll receive important information about starting
college, learn about available student resources, and have the opportunity
to register for classes.
Important: Orientation sessions are
NOT come-and-go events. Each session follows a structured
schedule to ensure students receive the information and assistance they
need for a successful start at MGCCC. Your assigned check-in time and
location will be included in your confirmation email.
Before You Attend: Orientation Checklist
To make the most of your orientation experience and ensure appropriate
course placement, please complete the following steps before attending:

Complete your admission application.
Submit an
MGCCC Admission Application
for Spring 2027. Students previously enrolled through Collegiate Academy,
Dual Credit, or Dual Enrollment
must submit an updated freshman application.

Submit your placement test scores.
Provide ACT scores or complete the
Accuplacer assessment.

Log in to your My Gulf Coast account.
Access
My Gulf Coast
before orientation. Your login credentials were sent to your
personal email address.

Verify your major.
Make sure your intended major is listed correctly.
Contact Admissions if you need to make changes.

Complete the FAFSA.
Submit your
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
for the appropriate academic year.

Apply for Mississippi State Financial Aid.
Mississippi residents should also complete the
Mississippi State Aid Application.

Review your financial aid status.
Log in to My Gulf Coast and navigate to
Web Services > Financial Aid Dashboard
to review your financial aid award status.
